Direct Admission in MBBS

 Mentioned below are the various steps which students need to follow in order to take direct admission in MBBS. 


Qualify the NEET entrance exam: To take admission in MBBS all candidates need to apply and qualify the NEET-UG exam 

Register for State Counselling: Once the candidate qualifies for the NEET exam he/she is required to appear for the state organised counselling. Even if a candidate is taking direct admission, he/she is required to be present for the counselling session.

Verification of Documents: The next step is the verification of documents. This is done both online and offline. 

First and Second Round of Counselling: The first and second round of counselling are both conducted online. Candidates will be provided with their login credentials.

MOP-UP Round: In this round, the number of seats that are vacant is given to students who are present in the counselling centre.

Direct Admission to MBBS: There are often many seats that are left or are vacant, these seats are then transferred to the management of various universities and their administration.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission in MBBS

Candidate must have qualified the entrance exam of NEET-UG 

The age of the candidate must be 17 years by December 31st in the year he/she is taking admission

The candidate is required to attend all the counselling sessions

The individual score of the candidate in the subjects Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English should be 50% and above
